Tanked....
As of today, I have committed the story I was working on to the "drawer." I just lost my motivation for the entire story line. Does that ever happen to you? Not that I had gotten far, 1500 words---but I just could not bring myself to write anything. I even stopped "dreaming" about where it was going. So, it tanked.
I have decided that I'm great out of the gate, but then I seem to fizzle out......
I'm thinking about going to a writer's group meeting and seeing if I can get some words of encouragement there.... We will see.....

Hour Glass Method....
Have you ever heard of the hour glass method? When I was younger, someone told me to work "til all the sand had dropped." So in shopping for decorations for my office, I was so shocked to come across an hourglass... I've used the concept once, but plan to do it alot more in the future.
Do you set a time frame for your writing? Sometimes it is so hard to come down here and write when I have set infront of a computer all week. I think I do better with my iPad and a glass of wine sitting in my recliner..
I've also thought about getting a little tape recorder for the those "driving down the road" thoughts....
So what is you method?

How Do You Do It?
Now that is a question isn't it? Well, after you have thought about it for a hot minute, I'm actually talking about reading. Do you have an e-reader or do you actually hold a page turning book? I have a Kindle 3 as well as the iPad. The Kindle 3 is best for reading at the beach and just outdoors, while my iPad goes everywhere else with me. I have found that my eyes do not hurt as much on the iPad as they do on the Kindle. I think it is the backlighting and larger screen.
The ease of an e-reader is so addicting. To be hands free to lift your coffee cup without the book closing or to prop it up on your lap or pillow and not have it fall off---love it---e-reader addict for sure!!
So, back to my question, "How do you do it?"
